![]() ![]() During the meeting, Bhishmaarcharya revealed that param daivam(supreme master) is Lord MahaVishnu (Bhagavan Sri Krishna) and revealed all 1000 namas in front of HIM. Lord Sri Krishna, who understood Yudhistira’s uneasy mind, guided him to Bhishmaarchaya (who was on the arrow bed) to learn insight in to the precious knowledge. Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas, was desperately looking for the answers to matters relating to Dharma and Karma. The history goes as Bhishmacharya was awaiting the sacred hour to depart from his physical body unto the lotus feet of the Lord. ![]() These names were carefully chosen and made as a beautiful garland by Sri Bishmaacharya like how various precious gems from various places are made as a garland by a goldsmith. Over many yugas, various rishi’s did samarpanam of these names to the lotus feet of the lord. All these names were hidden in the Veda’s, in the sastra’s and in the puranas. It is an integral part of Sri Mahabharata composed by Sage Vedavyasa . Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam consists of 1000 namas(names) of MahaVishnu. ![]()
